Castle Combe Rally Day and Dyrham Park

We braved the rain in September to visit the annual Rally Day at Castle Combe with Dad. Lots of the usual suspects were there: Tony Mason doing the interviewing, Gwyndaf Evans, Russell Brookes but also this year we saw Harri Rovenpera, Kris Meeke and Matthew Wilson.

In October, to celebrate the centenary of Bristol Motor Club, they recreated the hillclimb up the drive at Dyrham Park just outside the Bath. I don't think the National Trust, who own Dyrham, were expecting quite the level of interest that a sunny Sunday of vintage cars would generate and their traffic management left a little to be desired. But, once in the Park, we had a fantastic time and saw some truly wonderful machines.

Photos of both are in the album on the right - I've not had the chance to edit or label them all yet, so there may be some of tiny dots in the distance but they are cars, honestly!
