You don't have to be mad...

Well, if I'm still sane by the end of October I'll be amazed at what the human brain can cope with. As well as working full-time and doing the fundraising, I've also been revising for my OU finals. I got my 'ordinary' degree last year and have been working this year to top it up to a BA Hons. Just to give myself added pressure I've signed up for an MA starting in February, so I need to get what's euphemistically called a 'good' degree - presumably that's as opposed to a degree in 'surf science' which is obviously shite... Although I’m not sure that someone with a degree in Librarianship who’s now doing a degree in Art History has any room to comment really.

Stressed? The exam is on Tuesday 17th Oct and we go to India on the 22nd... What, me, stressed? Never...I've always had this twitch...

I’ve added a link to Global Adventure Challenges on the right - the company that has organised our India trip – just in case anyone else is similarly inspired. I must admit that the Lapland trip does sound good...

I met one of our students on Friday who had done a very similar trip in India on Bullets for her husband's 50th birthday. She was very enthusiastic and said they'd had a wonderful time. I'm relieved to have found someone who's ridden a bike in India and survived!

We've got over £1,250 in sponsorship now, which we think is amazingly brilliant. A very big 'thank you' to everyone who's given us their hard earned cash - and to those of you who haven't, I hope you feel terribly guilty! Over the space of 10 days we ended up in about 5 local 'papers, including the free sheets. The Grannies were pleased, but I'm happy that we can open a local 'paper now without being confronted by our ugly mugs staring back at us!
